Kathleen Baldwin
Living in Port Hedland from 1974 to 1987 Kathleen Baldwin was an extremely active member of the community. Her involvements stretched from Netball, Navel Cadets, Swimming, Brownies, and Guides, to being involved with the Speedway and many other community groups.
Kathleen married her husband Andrew in 1985 and together the pair has had three children and four grandchildren.
After the death of her parents over ten years ago Kathleen began to wonder what had happened to a lot of her school friends. The curiosity put her on a journey to try to find as many of her old friends as possible and thanks to Facebook Kathleen was inspired to create a reunion group for ex-Hedlanders just to see how much interest she might garner.
Astonishingly to Kathleen, who had expected maybe fifty or so people to join, the group grew by the hundreds within mere hours, and after one year has grown to include thousands of members and is still growing.
